Business: Modern Eyes
Christina is from a large family who spent time in both Ohio and Florida during her childhood, but her love for debate and the changing seasons led her to study Philosophy at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. After graduating, she worked at The Ohio State University’s Department of Ophthalmology where she met her husband, Graham. In 2015 while Graham was interviewing for optometry school, Christina was offered a position at Mass Eye and Ear, where she has been ever since, organizing over 280 educational events for Harvard Ophthalmology. During that time, she also attended Suffolk University, Sawyer Business School part-time, where she earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Creative Disruption and Entrepreneurship.
After living in Downtown Boston for a couple of years, she and Graham moved to Norwood and were instantly struck by the happy, friendly residents. Now a seven-year resident, Christina is eager to give back to the town that made her feel at home from day one. With her husband, she co-founded the new optometry practice downtown, Modern Eyes. She plans to leverage her business training and 20 years of medical experience to help shape the branding, space design, and team culture at the practice. As a Friends of Norwood Center board member, she also hopes to put her energy and enthusiasm towards the promotion and improvement of Norwood so others can discover its charms.
