Earth Day Celebration: April 28th

On Sunday, April 28th, Progress Norwood has organized a celebration for Earth Day. The day's activities include "plogging" with Charles River Running at 9:30am as well as other trash pick up sites and hikes. Plogging is a Swedish concept combining running or hiking and collecting litter. Friends of Norwood Center and the Norwood MA Farmers Market will be at the Town Celebration on the Norwood Town Common from 11:30-1:30. At this celebration you'll find:

• Recycling Stations: Personal electronics, batteries, plastic bags, inkjet & toner cartridges
  
• Bike Swap and $5 bike helmets
  (Bring your child's gently used bike and swap it for a larger one)
  
• Booths for all things "Earth Day"
  
• "Fix It" Station
  (Bring your small appliances, lamps, laptops, other broken items for a tune-up)
  
• Music by The Unlikely Strummers & Band Gig School of Music
